You can also buy dried flowers if they go well with the theme. These can be place days before the event if you do not have young children who may mess things. A good number of vases should be in your inventory all else buy a few that match with the color theme.  Centerpieces can be ordered from a flower decorator and placed on the day of the event.  

Lightening accessories come as various types, shapes and size. Illuminate your house depending upon the nature of the event. For birthday parties loud arrangement will work for more sober events subtly lightening will be most suitable.

If visit the suppliers of light accessories you will get a good idea. The cost also matter so keep it into consideration. Psychedelic and kinetic lights are boisterous hence use them for jam sessions.  

Music is a good accompaniment but a loud music is good for celebrations. But rock and roll does not suit a wedding reception or the ceremony. A good classical music will be apt. If you are not a music  buff than take help of your friends and relative for this task. A live band is the easiest way to add music to your event but the cost will be very high.  

Suitable furniture and dining accessories can used once that are at home but if you find a lacunae then go to a furniture shop. They will offer you a matching range that suits the ambiance of your house. Wall hangings, rugs are already present in the house but you can but the contemporary stuff from the market. Organizing event is  all about spending money if wisely done things will remain in your budget.

If you can afford to spend lavishly for an extravagant event then contact professionals. This is no do it yourself task.
